From the fertile land of Bac Lieu, where abundant sunshine, wind, and alluvium deeply nurture the culture, orchards heavily laden with longans have become the pride of the locals. Since the early 20th century, Bac Lieu longan has been famous throughout the six provinces of Southern Vietnam.
During years of diligent research and preservation of traditional longan varieties, Ms. Tran Kieu (Ms. Thanh) has successfully cultivated and crossbred a new longan variety named Thanh Nhan. This variety has thin skin, thick pulp, small seeds, a mildly sweet non-harsh taste, and a gently lingering aroma like the grower’s own heart.
Thanh Nhan Bac Lieu was born as the crystallization of dedication, the aspiration to reach far, and the desire to spread the value of Vietnamese longan. It is also a way to give wings to the farming culture of Bac Lieu, where the fame of the ancient longan is continued by a new story.
